About Us

Fasso Transport had its beginning’s with the founder The Late John L Fasso, commencing a wood carrying business to Post War Melbourne in 1947.

In 1949 he purchased a Brand new Studebaker truck.
In the early sixties he had expanded to 3 trucks carting firewood, Fence posts to Melbourne and servicing the need of district farmers.

In 1968 with the close of the Heathcote Melbourne Rail Line, Fasso Transport was a granted a D licence to carry general cargo to and from Heathcote.

The late 70's saw the de regulation of the Transport industry whereby road transport could equally and freely compete with rail.

It was during this period Fasso Transport began to operate into the Bendigo region.

2000 saw the purchase of land in McDowalls Rd Bendigo and a construction of a new depot began.

In 2001 Fasso transport relocated from Heathcote to this new facility.

With fleet increases and increased demand from our customers, Fasso Transport saw the need for our own receival and dispatch depot in Melbourne (Formerly we had outsourced this requirement. )

After analysing our needs and those of our customers, we decided to set up our New Melbourne depot in Derrimut (Melbourne’s outer west) in the new Logistic precinct.
Derrimut offers close proximity to all the Major supply distribution centres of our customers, and our depot is located just minutes from the Robinsons Rd Off ramp from the Western Freeways /Deer Park bypass.

Our vision is to provide high levels of customer service satisfaction, by being geographically close to the supply points of all our major clients. This allows us to be adaptable and solve our clients supply chain issues when they arise.
